When carbon filter media was failing to keep water clean in wash water tanks, MTS were called in to pump out the accumulated sludge.
After creating a works programme for the client, including timings, costs and Risk Assessment Method Statement (RAMS), the team pumped as much waste as possible from outside before entering the tanks under a Confined Space Entry regime.
The crew washed the waste to the suction pipes where it was pumped onto the tanker units for transportation from site. This process continued until all of the waste was removed, leaving our client a clean tank.
Cleaning improved the performance of the tanks and restored maximum efficiency to the treatment process. Our client commended the MTS team who carried out all works to plan, on budget and on schedule.
