We are looking for HGV Drivers / Drainage Engineers to join MTS with an open mind and be willing to take on all aspects of the services we provide to our customers when required.

What will the job involve?

Drive HGV Class 1 or 2. Operating specialist Jetting; Super Suction or Combination equipment on vehicles

Jetting Tankers once training has been provided (Class 2, CPC required)

Attend emergency call out situations dealing with sewer blockages, flooding and pollution

Working on Private and public land in strict accordance with statutory health, safety and environmental procedures

Undertake vehicle checks at the start and finish of each shift

Ensure that all jobs are documented correctly

Report all defects, accidents and near misses immediately to Line Manager

Maintain the driver’s log book in compliance with MOT rules and procedures

Ensure that the conditions of all PPE (personal protective clothing and equipment) remain fit for purpose

Keep the vehicle and equipment washed down on a weekly basis, free from rubbish in hose and tool boxes and the cab

Being flexible in your approach to work and undertake ad-hoc duties when your vehicle is off the road or if you are required to assist other field teams

Attend training as and when required

What do we need from you?

• 50 hours per week, 5 days out of 7
• Flexible with working hours (we can be very reactive at times and teams are expected to assist as much as they can)
• Must have the ability to take on responsibility of working within very controlled guidelines and environmental regulations
• Minimum Class 2 licence holder with CPC
• Experience using high pressure water jetting machines (desired but not essential as full training can be provided)
• Must be able to commit to unsociable working hours including various weekends in line with our emergency call out rota
• Previous experience working within the drainage industry (desired but not essential as full training can be provided)
