MTS Cleansing Services Limited are proud to help sponsor the restoration of the PS Medway Queen.
A major restoration project has been ongoing since 2009 to restore the PS Medway Queen back to her operating condition, local companies were offered the unique opportunity to help sponsor the cost of towing the ship from Bristol back to the Medway Towns and MTS Cleansing Services Limited were delighted in being able to contribute towards this worthwhile cause.
The PS Medway Queen was originally built in 1924 on the River Clyde in Scotland and sailed in the estuary waters of the River Thames and River Medway until She saw active wartime service between 1939 and 1945 with her finest moment in 1940 when the ship and her crew made seven crossings to the beaches of Dunkirk rescuing 7000 British and French troops. Her bravery and that of her gallant crew lead to the title âHeroine of Dunkirk" being bestowed.
