Book essential professional training with MTS

Professional qualifications for careers in the water utility and drainage industries are available now from MTS.

As the industry-leader in drainage and waste management, we have always ensured that our people are trained to nationally-recognised standards. We believe that professionally qualified staff are the key to both delivery of exceptional customer service and safe working at all times.

At the beginning of 2019 we launched the MTS Training Service, with our own in-house trainer Rachel Court delivering many of the courses essential for our operatives. Over the following months we have built the service to include a wide range of courses suitable for all kinds of industry, as well as the key water utility qualifications.

Rachel explains; “We welcome bookings for both individuals and groups from external customers. All our courses take place at our Training Centre in Rochester, Kent, and for larger groups we can bring the training to your place of work.”

We run two key water utility courses every week:

  • EUSR Water Hygiene “Blue Card”, a half-day course for workers in contact with fresh water;
  • EUSR Utility Water SHEA “Green Card”, a one-day course for workers on operational water utility sites (either working for a sub-contractor or directly for the water company). Qualify for your “Green Card” with MTS and you will also gain access to construction sites (for purposes of utilities work) without the need for a separate CSCS card.

In addition we offer regular First Aid training:

  • Emergency First Aid at Work, a one-day course suitable for first aiders in smaller, low risk working environments;
  • First Aid at Work, a three-day course.
