MTS tankers have been busier than ever with the extreme rain we have experienced over recent months.
As a key delivery partner to Southern Water we have been working to help keep wastewater services running across Hampshire, Kent and Sussex.
Since the beginning of 2020 more than one billion litres of rain has fallen on Hampshire alone, causing high levels of groundwater which can overload the sewer network.
MTS tankers have been brought in to manage this pressure on the sewer system by pumping stormwater from the network and transporting it directly to treatment sites.
MTS Managing Director Steve Gilson explains more about our role in this exclusive blog post for Southern Water.
Steve said; “Our tanker crews are doing vital work to protect homes and businesses from flooding. We’re sorry about any noise and disruption experienced by residents, but I am very proud of my staff who have worked extremely hard this winter.”
