The company was founded in 1986, as Municipal Tanker Services, serving domestic cess customers in the Medway area.
Today we employ more than 400 people across our network of depots, located in Kent, Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey and Leicestershire.
We continue to provide a comprehensive service to domestic and commercial customers without mains drainage, with the majority of our fleet of smaller tankers based at MTS Ashford in Kent.
Over the years the company has grown to become a key supplier to the water utility industry and our customers include Southern Water, Thames Water, South East Water, Severn Trent Water and Cappagh Browne Utilities Ltd.
Steve Gilson, Managing Director, said; “MTS remains a family business and we are grateful to our founders Keith and Brian Crust for establishing and building this company. In these extraordinary times we are very fortunate to have felt little impact, due to our key worker status within the waste industry. This has enabled us to maintain our employment levels and the living standards of our staff.”
Steve continued; “Many of our people have been with MTS for many years and some have joined more recently, we really do appreciate every member of the team for the work they do. The Chairmen, Shareholders, Directors and their families would like to thank all who have supported MTS over the first 34 years – you are all in our thoughts.”
