MTS head office recently received a spot check from the Health & Safety Executive, inspecting the measures we have taken to keep our workplace safe during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Our Managing Director and Head of SHEQW met the HSE officer to answer questions on the measures in place and whether they are in line with government guidance.
Steve Gilson, MTS Managing Director, said; “We were very proactive from the start and changed our working practices four weeks before the national lockdown was declared. So we have now had several months of embedding the new behaviours and ways of working throughout the business. The HSE spot check officer was very impressed with the timescale of our response and he is taking the MTS model back to share with his peers as an example of best practice.”
The MTS leadership team continue to work hard to ensure that the company does not put anyone at risk, protecting employees, customers and the general public as far as possible.
Steve Gilson continued; “We are delighted to be able to lead by example during these rapidly changing times. Our aim is to keep the business running safely, delivering excellence to our customers and protecting the jobs of our 400+ employees. I would like to thank everyone at MTS, and especially the leadership team, who are supporting our “new normal” way of doing things.”
