Two MTS employees have begun a six month secondment to our client Southern Water, helping to avoid pollution and flooding caused by groundwater.
“The two Glenns”, Glenn McCubbin and Glenn Ford, are usually based at MTS Chickenhall, near Eastleigh in Hampshire. In their new roles, Glenn McCubbin is managing West Hampshire and Glenn Ford is in charge of the East Hampshire area.
Both men liaise with Southern Water’s customers to help resolve any concerns about ground water issues. They are helping to control flows in sewers due to ground water infiltration and must react quickly when a flood occurs, in order to avoid negative impacts to local areas and crops.
Scott Diamond, MTS Director and CBUL Contract Manager, said; “Southern Water have been full of praise for the standard of work the two Glenns are doing, which includes organising tankers where needed and taking samples from rivers and ponds to ensure no pollution has occurred. I am very impressed with their hard work and commitment to this collaborative way of working for the good of the environment, which reinforces our ongoing partnership with Southern Water.”
