MTS and Southern Water

We are very proud to announce a five year extension on our contract with Southern Water, following more than a year of negotiations.

This announcement comes in the third year of the existing contract which runs until 2016, with the extension taking the agreement through to November 2021.

Despite unprecedented demands on the company’s emergency response work over the last two exceptionally wet winters, we have maintained our planned works programme and kept all sites compliant.

Steve Gilson, Contracts and Operations Director at MTS said “This achievement is thanks to exceptional teamwork across MTS and our joint working with Southern Water and the extended supply chain to deliver on our promises. A combination of strong director leadership, solid but flexible management and our dedicated field operatives working 24/7, 365 days of the year has won us this extension.”

He continued; “It’s a pleasure to serve Southern Water and their millions of customers. We will continue to deliver all the benefits of honest and transparent partnership working, including recycling 97% of all waste to land reclamation and avoiding landfill disposal. In addition we will deliver savings of at least £7million over the next seven years.”
