MTS is supporting the No Time to Lose campaign, launched by the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH).
No Time to Lose highlights the human suffering and negative impact – on business, society and the economy – caused by occupational cancer. Cancer caused by work is claiming the lives of at least 666,000 a year worldwide.
IOSH is calling on the government, regulators, professional bodies, industry, employers and employees to take action and tackle the issues head on in order to save lives.
We have assessed the work activities that make up our business here at MTS to identify possible risks of cancer. We have a prevention strategy in place which includes appropriate training, procedures and monitoring.
Our senior and operational managers are actively involved in wellbeing issues, including occupational cancer. The whole company is working to ensure all preventive measures are used properly and consistently and to increase understanding of the risks. We demand the same high standards of our supply chain and partners – we share our knowledge and initiatives on a wide range of wellbeing issues, including the No Time to Lose campaign.
