We continually invest in new specialised vehicles and equipment, including our fleet of Disab industrial vacuum units.
These Disab vacuum loaders are very versatile and offer the highest performance specifications, operating at 90% vacuum efficiency and delivering up to 220 kw of suction power.
Designed for a tough industrial environment, our Disabs are capable of dealing with aggregates, sand, gravel, cement and other dry materials as well as water, sludge and liquid waste. They can pump both dry and wet waste at depths of over 100 metres.
The Disab’s telescopic extending boom arm enables us to access the most awkward locations to extract liquids and dry materials. The 150mm diameter suction pipe can fit through narrow passages, doorways, windows and vents to reach the waste to be removed. We can recover dry materials from almost any location including tanks, pits, silos, hoppers, carbon filter vessels or loose on the ground.
A leafy street in Kensington recently saw an MTS Disab in action, working to help reinstate a garden following remodelling works to a house. We were employed to replace aggregate in the back garden, which needed to be transported through the basement of the house.
The aggregate was piled in the road for the Disab to suck into its tank, before blowing it out through pipes leading through the basement into the garden.
Disabs can also tip dry waste into skips or directly into one tonne bags, offering a faster loading capacity than other vehicles. The “high tip” facility means the tank can be lifted to an almost vertical position to ensure the safe unloading of all material. The tipping tank has a capacity of 12 cubic metres.
Alongside the rest of our unrivalled fleet, MTS Disabs are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for emergency situations such as flooding, pollution and highway spillages.
Watch one of our Disabs in action working to clean storm tanks for Southern Water at Fort Cumberland near Portsmouth. The Disab works alongside a mobile CDEnviro D:Max screening unit which de-waters and separates the waste, ready for recycling at our unique in-house treatment plant.
