Safety has been our main priority at MTS for more than 30 years.
We work hard to ensure that our skilled staff are properly trained to rigorous industry standards. We’re confident that with these nationally recognised qualifications, combined with our experience and expertise, our people deliver exceptional customer service. And deliver that service as safely as possible.
Our excellent standards and achievements in health and safety have been recognised by national accreditation bodies.
We received our second Gold Award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) this year. This highlights our work to continuously improve all aspects of our occupational health and safety management systems and practices.
In our last audit for Achilles UVDB Verify , MTS scored a perfect 100%. This stringent audit evaluated our management systems for safety, health, environmental and policy practices and procedures. The unbeatable 100% score puts MTS on a par with leading UK companies and demonstrates that our capability as a supplier to the utility industry is second to none. Our customers are assured that we comply with all legislation and corporate governance that ensures their businesses are protected when we work on their behalf.
Our management systems for occupational health and safety have also been accredited OHSAS 18001 by the British Standards Institute (BSI). We have held this internationally recognised standard since 2012.
In addition MTS has been accredited by both Alcumus SafeContractor and SMAS Worksafe for excellence in health and safety in the workplace.
Alcumus Safecontractor is a leading third party accreditation scheme which recognises extremely rigorous standards in health and safety management amongst contractors. SMAS Worksafe is recognised by the HSE and other SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) schemes.
The Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) recently featured MTS in a new information film. The film focused on our work to prevent workplace cancer by reducing harmful vehicle emissions.
As a fleet company, MTS is leading the way in measures to reduce possible cancer causing emissions from our vehicles. These include new additions to our fleet which are more efficient and environmentally friendly. We’re concerned with minimising risks from our business to our employees and the general public.
