MTS has employed the services of an approved training centre to deliver periodic training courses to all of the company's HGV drivers.
The Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) has been introduced across the EU and is aimed at improving both driving standards and road safety.
Drivers need to complete 35 hours of training and have their Driver Qualification Card (DQC) issued and received by 9th September 2014.
MTS are committed to ensuring all of its 200 plus HGV drivers are fully qualified in good time to meet this deadline.
Kevin Graham, the company's Health and Safety Manager, said: 'I am very pleased with how the courses are progressing with over 300 certificates already issued.
'The feedback we have received from the course tutors has been exceptional and it's encouraging to know that our drivers are fully backing the CPC Qualification.'
