Porta-Reel (PAR)

There are many situations where it is not possible to be able to position a large jetting unit in close proximity to a job. Access is one of our major obstacles when it comes to jetting sewers; manholes for example may often be in the middle of a field or in an inaccessible place.

The port-a-reel with its hydraulic powered reel allows jetting facilities to be located directly over an access point. Where high-powered jetting is required and our Super Suction Jetting Tanker is too large to access or the access is via low height restrictions such as car parks via an underpass, we use our specifically modified Porta-Reels (PAR). These are designed to connect to our high-powered jetting units i.e. Super Sucker Tankers. The Porta-Reel units are generally around 7ft high, 4ft wide and 9ft long in size, weighing on average approximately 1800kgs.

They are self-powered and have either rubber tracks or are 4 x 4 wheel drive, similar to a dumper and can be lifted into fields over fences to gain access. The jetting hose is then inserted into the culvert, outfall or manhole and then connected to our jetting unit, so that the necessary cleaning can be carried out to our own high standards that our customers have come to expect time and again.

Key features:

  • Have rubber tacks (no churning up the terrain)
  • Operated by experience and trained personnel
  • Can 'daisy chain' together to jet from remote locations
  • Lightweight (around 1800kgs)
